§ 74-38. Alcoholic beverages.

  • No person shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages in any park or county facility; provided, however, that this section shall not apply when a permit has been obtained from the director authorizing permission to consume alcoholic beverages. The director shall only grant permission for the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the above-described premises in accordance with the regulations established within Administrative Regulation 12.08 as from time to time adopted by the board of county commissioners. This section shall not prohibit the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages sold by vendors at any of the county parks or facilities with proper licensing, and a county permit. This exemption shall also include, but not be limited to, a sports stadium which is leased to a major league baseball organization for spring training purposes at events which are sponsored by such major league organization, nor shall such prohibition apply to events held at such a facility during minor league games which may be played within the confines of such facility.
